Meatballs are made in different shapes and flavors all over the world and are cooked in many different ways. Tekirdag Meatballs, which is one of the many types of meatballs in Turkey and integrated with the name of our city of Tekirdag, is one of our favorites. You will not be able to get enough of the meatballs you will make with this recipe.
Add the finely chopped onion and grated garlic to the minced meat and knead well. Then add the breadcrumbs, semolina, baking soda dissolved in lemon juice, salt, black pepper and cumin and continue kneading.
* Keep minced meat preferably in the refrigerator for 24 hours, or at least 8 hours if it is not possible. This waiting process is very important for the taste of meatballs.
* Take out of the refrigerator and knead again. Shape it by wetting your hands from time to time, as in the photos. If possible, cook it on the grill or in a teflon pan.
Put the cooked meatballs on the plate. Slice onions and tomatoes on the side and serve it with hot pepper sauce and piyaz (Turkish white bean) salad. Bon Appetit!
Mix all the ingredients well in a suitable bowl and serve on the same plate with the meatballs.
